Operating in a nitrogen and hydrogen enriched atmosphere, it effectively harnesses the potent heat energy generated by natural or coke oven gas combustion. It facilitates rapid and even heating of strip steel, efficiently raising temperatures to about 900°C, thereby optimizing annealing through superior radiation heat transfer from the outer tube.
