To counteract these challenges, expansion joints should be incorporated into the shell, effectively managing shell-side pressure to avert potential damage. This innovative design excels in scenarios where the shell-side fluid remains pristine and non-scaling. It's particularly suited for environments where temperature differentials between fluids are minor, or where the shell-side pressure remains moderate.
